The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 年轻时的梦想与现实，多少年过去后，梦想终被实现，那种用一辈子等来的不容易真的会逼人泪下，看似与当今日本一样宅又不爱说话的孙子对爷爷的鼓励和认可，又何尝不是那一剂强心针？只想知道，虽然片子小众，但是当步小姐在台上念爷爷给淑子的信时，是不是大家都流下了泪水。
又一部迷影电影，由衷敬佩山田洋次导演。
只能选一种方式后悔。喜欢年轻时在片场的戏。
爱电影的人，看着电影爱去，是电影之神来了吧。
虽然名为《电影之神》，实际上着力点放在了亲情爱情友情上，对电影的自我指涉反而沦为了配角。年代戏比现代戏拍得好

《电影之神》，一个平淡的故事，一个一事无成的人的人生。唯一可感叹的是其中的妻子，真的是不值得这样的付出呀。
男主角的放弃和得奖两个转折生硬。
2021年德国电影学院奖（劳拉奖）影帝作。
男主有点Mads Mikkelsen和Liam Neeson的合体。
淑子选角真好看，有那味儿。

片子最后男主在疗养院里，一个酷似他夫人的女士给他读《奥德赛》，这一段没有看懂，不知道是不是在表现男主最终精神崩溃了。
原著已经很精炼了，影片增加的部分有画蛇添足的感觉。
最后赠送了一个老套的结局。
追忆过去的部分真好，“人生就是只能选一种方式后悔”。山田洋次在这个年纪回望日本电影业的兴盛时期，不免有明日黄花之感。
