The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 他贪婪，自大且张狂，温柔，善良且执着，他极具才华，又趋炎附势。他穿着朴素的白衬衫跑去巴黎，又画着贵族的眼线光着身子回到家乡的湖边。湖面波光潋滟，不过是大梦一场空。

虽然只拍出了原著1/5的内容和1/10的深度，但已算是足够优秀的一部电影。片中汇聚了几乎所有法语国家的演员（法国、比利时、加拿大），好在基本不出戏；原著的语言实在太精彩，电影于是加了很多旁白（虽然是比较偷懒的方式，但也还能接受）；电影的很多情节处理得过于温情，以至于显得有点肤浅，原著要残酷得多。
他将停止幻想，他将开始生活，他将找到内心的力量。
经典就是，故事简单又意味深长，现实中总感觉似曾相识。
我觉得很久没看到扎扎实实拍好名著的电影了，当然一部分也是归功于巴尔扎克的剧本

了不起的巴尔扎克，关于新闻的讽刺太应景了。本片也精心制作，不辜负名著。
