Shedding tears in the theatre. Delicate, quiet, floating, and touching. Textbook-level shots and larger-than-life themes. Brilliant end and soundtracks.
不晓得是不是因为肯尼斯布拉纳的缘故，觉得这片“戏剧”感好强，每个角色都洋溢着一股排练多次的“过熟感”(其实就是失真)。看了20分钟后，我找到了一种观看方式，不要把它当做那个年代贝尔法斯特普通一家人的日常生活，把它当做肯尼斯的颅内小剧场，会比较好接受。拿《罗马》来比是有点抬咖，我先想到的是《八月》。顺便说：为什么詹米多南穿着白衬衫系着领带，还是给我一种没穿衣服的感觉。
走出去或者留下来的抉择是很多人都做过的。虽然那个时代那个地方离我很遥远，但是这种抉择的艰难还是很能共情的。
来个人告诉我肯爵是如何挤掉牛蛙混到今年奥斯卡最佳导演的提名的……
it's actually a bit hard to understand the lines with the accent.. but still such an interesting angle... and it's amazing that some childhood memories seems never fading even after a long time. a powerful work with many heartwarming moments that still resonates with me after the movie. well, TIFF does have taste. ps. it's strange some historic events look so absurd now but at the time..

导演这么私人，还搞致敬，为啥不自己亲自摄影呢，灾难啊，不要以为黑白多高级，黑白也能整成网大，尤其是还想和色彩硬蹭的时候。
贝尔法斯特这个名字包含了太多的辛酸与血泪，它有着太黑暗也太沉重的一段过去，而这种种情绪并不是能那么轻易地就表达出来的…
被感动到了。很符合疫情当下动乱的世界，多少人留下，多少人离开，多少人迷失……

看到友邻们的评分放低了期待值，所以还是超出预期的，音乐很加分，喜欢爷爷奶奶的爱情“你的心跳过吗”“每次你走进房间，它就会跳一支吉格舞”
{★★☆} 这不是个轻松的决定：我相信Kenneth Branagh童年的图像，也相信他在镜头后忠于这份图像。但看完后数日，我脑内却难以回忆起几个这部致敬Branagh所成长街区的电影里，在那条街区上生活的被挤压、坚守或放弃的人们。就像孩子模糊的念想，贝尔法斯特变成了一个抽象的概念。有地标、有伤痕、有欢笑，却没有一个让他不舍离去的理由。
属于那种没有多大野心，只是轻巧的讲述一场特定历史背景下的无奈离乡的小片。没有过度渲染悲伤和离别，欢乐生活还是占主调。片尾的音乐和歌声终于对了味儿，巴士离开街角后还是会让人陷入失落。

可能是有点想拍一部像罗马一样的电影，不过感觉还是差了一些。不过对童年和家人的描绘很是不错，在混乱的时期，家人就是最好的支柱。另，配乐很不错，尤其还听到了Declan唱过的几首民谣
蹩脚的游子怀乡，拍个情怀罢了，所谓乡愁，真看不到。
一般化，在北爱独立这个题材没什么突破，黑白片并没有深度
