The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 放在broadway里，实在是比较平庸的剧，不是很理解为什么是must see级别，应该是大部分美国人能对故事背景共情？典型的美式煽情和笑点，除了音乐和演员唱功比较有印象，其他看完真的有想退票的冲动。

911过后不得不临时停靠在一个小岛上的众多航班，7000多个乘客和9000多个小岛居民的相知相处故事。大难来临造就的意外邂逅，各种语言、宗教、文化，甚至物种的碰撞，很多幽默和感动。
以911为背景，讲述发生紧急事件后“幸存者”的体验与故事。角色塑造的大多比较丰满，印象最深刻的是女机长的故事。整个舞美、故事情节、服化道都做的不错，能感受到每一位演员为这个音乐剧付出的努力。

故事的角度特别好 另一种角度表达社会事件后的社会变化 每个人都很善良 / 但我自己感觉略微有点主旋律 故事比较散 / 原来圆形转盘是百老汇标配啊！
这部音乐剧不仅做到了令人难忘的音乐效果，亦在幽默的基础上增添了人性的光辉。
看之前甚至不知道这是一部关于911的歌舞剧，前面还在想怎么会有这么奇怪的故事设定（籍籍无名的小镇突然迎来大量飞机和数千名旅客），反应过来后十分佩服这个“在别处”的视角。

在听到大家唱歌的时候我没哭。只是看到大家在经历灾难之后，仍然笑着交谈的时候，我就泪流满面。
