The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 蛮平庸的一部电影。威尔·史密斯的表演也很一般，完全比不上十多年前《当幸福来敲门》的细腻，十多年前就已经有相关表演经历了，这个影帝的含金量实在是不高。
剧情流畅，执着的相信，培养大小威的过程，改变孩子都命运，片尾有点刻意升华到黑人、种族这些美国的常态……不过，放大了的是父爱，缩小了的是私信和踩踏
无论理查德身上有多少缺点，大小威在网球这项运动的巅峰周期，以及对社会的回馈确实与父亲的教育是密不可分的，成功来自于偏执。

体育或者传记片本来就容易扑，这部体育人物的传记片，隐隐约约就是最无聊最公式的那一种。
大小威和richard选角蛮成功的，史皇总算不演自己了。其实大V这一路都算顺风顺水的，编剧选取的几个时间锚点展现williams低谷都没有引起太大的波澜... 第三幕还是靠体育赛事的魅力本身，同样是励志题材确实不如Coda - 7.4
理查德除了保护女儿之外，他的性格复杂又矛盾，固执、冲动、聪明、隐忍、坚强、自信、自负、温柔、周密、独断。
用成功故事去为梦想背书，没有说服力；树立一个否定自己的人物，让观众又丢掉了着力点。本子逻辑没问题，就是感觉导演没想明白，他从这些素材里想表达的到底是什么。

不能因为他的成功而肯定他的做法，整部电影的价值观都很有问题。
再由故事内联系故事外吧，我们讲有些事不是被给予而是去争取。但我以为，这种“被神话”的争取，不是真实的争取，也争不来。
