During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 真实，面对未知面对绝望的崩溃，无望，这场疫情什么时候才能结束。
中段那个26分钟的长镜头感染力太强了，精准地呈现了新冠之下小人物的至暗时刻，那种被整个社会背叛的无力与绝望，让人心如刀绞～但第三幕逃离疗养院的情节有些刻意且过火了，为了煽情而煽情，破坏了冷峻克制的旁观视角，也失去了现实感染力～
最冲击人心的肯定是凌晨的求救，莎拉的大骂与痛苦已经足够揪心，而最令人难过的则是走廊里的声控灯和手机里111的自动语音，那种无助，没有一丝希望的绝望，以及第二天早晨换班护工的you are a good girl，细节同样直击人心。
典型的小故事，大映射，强批判。无论从几乎全篇幅的浅焦镜头，还是从故事的设定，包括HELP每次出现的含义，都有很强的共情力，而且科默小姐姐的表现是真的有点厉害+1。但...最牛逼的地方可能还是那段：“我搞到的防护设备...全是从中国送来的。”
疫情侵袭的段落非常有感染力，不管是国内还是国外，一定有人曾面临过这种无助的境遇。但以我国政治宣传片一向伟光正的风格来看，一般会有医生及时赶到救肯尼于弥留之际。外国疫情处置确实不如我们，但电影拍的不知高到哪里去

齐具社会价值和艺术价值的一个好片
曾经看似秩序井然的社会，在疫情的袭击下不堪一击，暴露出本就有的问题。逼仄狭小的护理院，扑面而来的压迫感和窒息感，面对生命的一个个离去，国家对其的置之不理，表面上说着“不会丢下他们，所有的生命都值得被尊重”，却在用实际行动表示着生命就是明码标价不平等的。在偌大的国家面前，个体的痛苦，对弱势群体的怜悯，对体制的质问……都显得微不足道，毫无意义，影片中时不时出现的HELP显得那样苍白无力。
该电影讲述了全球疫情灾难期间英国🇬🇧一家护理院的日常生活情况。
这个视角讲疫情挺不错的，拍的也不错，只是因为讲的是更英国的故事没能那么有耐心看。最后也是创作者抨击英国体制的落点，但这个片的视角确实值得借鉴。
前面五颗星，后面两颗星。情节推进到带着男子逃走太过于刻意了。倘若情节推动到了，倒也是能接受。假如到最后男子得到了适当的安置却忘了她，我觉得主题会更深刻一些。喜欢这里面的一些镜头语言。

封闭，孤独，所以如此向往自由，covid 来的如此快，打得所有人都措手不及，让人不安的无处不在的病毒，仿佛随时就会感染，老年人病人的抵抗力更加不足，生命如此脆弱就这样流失，这才是真实的记录，而不是一味歌颂
