The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 不新鲜，不讨喜
用自传体音乐剧来演绎音乐剧作家的传记，加菲虽然唱得没那么好，但演得很加分啊，简直就是拉森。
在很多部影视作品中，90年代总是显得如此具有悲情色彩。真的很喜欢rent的seasons of love，观剧时明明自己之前完全不知道这部剧的内容，听到这首歌时感觉全身毛孔都打开了。
反观主角，难于两立真实生活（工作、朋友、恋人）和梦想（烙印DNA的音符、止不住的才华喷涌），矛盾疯狂摩擦出缤纷的音色。艺术源自生活，只是这里更应附带一句：“艺术来源于挫折”。永远无法被制作出的《Superbia》象征着年轻岁月才华最后的燃烬，唯遗憾造就究极的艺术，用来形容Jonathan再合适不过。

游乐场那一套打发开始内卷到音乐歌舞片了，卡的不是音乐的节奏，而是娱乐的爽点。可怜加菲，老天赏饭吃的少年脆弱感没有遇到真实走心的好团队；也可怜加菲，全身心交代的勤奋较真劲过度匠熏以桂椒。所谓买椟还珠的笑话还要被重复多少次？还要被笑话多少遍？

本片从开播那一刻起就免不了拿来跟石头姐的《La La Land》相比较，可惜的是加菲卖力的表演并没有给本片带来多少竞争力，作为歌舞片歌曲不够出彩便已是致命伤，更何况剧情有点过于不温不火，使得观影体验十分寡淡，两相比较下来《Tick Tick Boom》的总体素质就显得不尽如人意了。

不太能理解，这样的表达方式只是为了抓取角色在特定场景的心理？感觉看得累，加菲也演得累。没找到进入这电影的方式…高兴加菲被提名了，但电影本身真能帮他一把吗？
已经对这种中规中矩的传记片有些审美疲劳。疲惫又热情的加菲。

背后的故事比电影本身更感人。最喜欢的歌也是为女孩写的那首。
What can you do?
可以把餐厅服务员满腹的烦躁化为直抒胸臆的宣泄，可以创作富有前瞻性的音乐剧讽刺未来人的情感麻木，可以在一地鸡毛的现实里永不言弃地追逐梦想，这就叫大艺术家吧。
