The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 为世界四分五裂所叹息时，感谢善意将一切再汇聚成一起，为人性的光辉时刻摇旗呐喊。
放在broadway里，实在是比较平庸的剧，不是很理解为什么是must see级别，应该是大部分美国人能对故事背景共情？典型的美式煽情和笑点，除了音乐和演员唱功比较有印象，其他看完真的有想退票的冲动。
这部音乐剧不仅做到了令人难忘的音乐效果，亦在幽默的基础上增添了人性的光辉。
舞台与影像的结合实属惊艳，舞台戏剧本身的魅力也充分表现，同一演员、同一空间表现出了多样的形式，在疫情后的第一场百老汇演出确实惊艳。但戏剧内容实在平庸，讲来讲去不过是娱乐至死至上的美国价值说教，戏剧演员的格式化表演也无法承受镜头的张力……网上看到一半自觉无聊便退场。

场景角色无缝衔接，太精致了。

很不错，音乐剧总是从始至终调动气氛，维持着舞台的充盈。
