The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 喜欢这种调调，缓缓叙事，娓娓道来，表面溪流入场，里面暗潮涌动，纠结与挣扎之后，唯有爱，让一切和解，技术的价值判断在善与恶之间，最终的解决方案，还是爱，虽然主旨俗套，但表演不俗，拍摄不俗，音乐不俗，观感自然不俗。
