The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 当幸福来敲门的鸡血励志复制到这里突然感觉有点变味了，配合打人事件，感觉很值得玩味
剧本太好了，父亲的偏执，教练的算计，母亲的坚韧，父亲对姐妹俩的分别教育方式，还照顾到了体育比赛的竞技性，这样一盘佐料颇多的主菜始终能承载于种族话题的装盘之上，很惊叹编剧的才华把他们都处理得恰如其分。

结尾处理的比《摔跤吧》高级，出淤泥而不染和名利双收本就是矛盾体。
虽然威尔·史密斯在奥斯卡颁奖典礼上的表现不怎么样，但由他饰演的理查德·威廉姆斯的确是一位很出色的家长。
其实和近些年黑人片比，这电影中种族问题的插入算是难得的丝滑有序，甚至有几场极好的戏。但两姐妹成长的线就真的一团稀烂，除了絮叨一堆并不高明的台词以外毫无对策，两个小演员也明显不太行
感觉一切都得到的太容易，全程金手指，没有触动
