The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 跟马力克比还是差了。比较出彩的部分是偏纪录片的一些片段，借了所谓的真实力量的光。那些所谓马力克式的镜头和剪辑、凝视镜头、科恩嫂的表演，都是按照独立电影的教科书拍法，靠着配乐制造情绪。
内敛而忧伤。配上宁静忧郁的音乐，想着如果相同的故事也在中国西部上演。。。

好舒服的电影，与其说是转述或呈现不如说更像是我偶然闯入了一个房间，一个人正在倾听另一个人讲话，不肖多时我发现我也想听。又像散文诗，被轻易地带进一个陌生而温暖的世界，里面有温柔的游侠和群居的篝火。那片土地上的治愈是真正从苦难里生出的花，你不用采摘，光是看见就让人也有所宽慰。

独立女性的公路片。天人合一。远离人群，却又无法脱离。
静 人之末的悲之共情却很有层次 但只有好的那面
联想到阿克曼的《安娜的旅程》。区别在于阿克曼风格化的镜头语言下是非常现实主义的片子，而赵婷现实主义外表下的镜头和情节是非常浪漫主义，甚至带有乌托邦色彩的。It’s not a bad thing. I like this film and hope I can practice this kind of life myself one day.
