The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 精巧舞台风。剪裁得体，严丝合缝，不过也就挣个面子。
不错的小成本电影，靠台词和反转剧情吊起观众的情绪，优雅的英国裁缝，他的脑子里在想些什么
“有些事在哪里都一样，所以我在哪里并不重要，只要我有剪刀就行。”
本来以为会是一部另类黑帮片，结果却是一部悬疑、“反转”片，于是乎整个影片选择的制作方针也就很容易理解了，情节至上，至于其他的什么都没那么用心了。
一直等着老头发大招，最后也发了，但是如果不发大招，会不会更好一点？不知道。室内舞台剧的编制，小空间里玩小反转，镜头顶在脸上考验演技，做得真是不错，没有野心就是最大的野心了。也算是本格的另一种玩法，总让我想起《利刃出鞘》。

大体上很精彩，不用太多场面，却表现如此紧张扣人心弦的情节，厉害！不过磁带的部分，没有厘清，但还好不影响大情节。
