The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 结尾的碾压解恨，选角一股醋酸综合症修复的老a片味道，片子能另观众get到对老人躯体那种由憎恶上升致恐惧的心理，那种因痴呆而无法控制的偏执，导演传达很到位，一边是在性主导的语境下不再单纯的爱，一边是在爱的语境下变了味的性。

简洁利落，话不多说。反类型，却又在色情恐怖化与恐怖色情化的反复中互文。嬉皮士与清教徒，青年与老年，矛盾看似来的毫无来由，但这恰恰是嫉妒与恶的集大成者。
Sex的确会影响到人的生活观念，更不用说还是在1979年。本片又一次证明人性之恶比鬼神更恐怖。
我承认A24的视听语言确实牛逼，但是这部《X》几乎没有能让我高潮的戏码，可能过几年就会忘记这部几乎没有故事性的电影了。（2022.4.17豆瓣6.0分）
