The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 简单却比美国校园青春剧deep一点，看着很开心。
立意和主旨其实很好，用不同的视角来认识自己、看待世界就是不同的人生。但……只能说故弄玄虚去搞悬疑，答案是如此淡而无味的话，很影响观感。
