The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. Ideology beside, it's a fucking good movie. Movie of the year for sure. Top top tier cinematography, sound design and acting. Kind of Spike Jonze and Charlie Kaufman at first, later fully dive into bizarre A24 uncanny valley. Alex Garland as the director: Ex Machina is good, but cheesy. Annihilation, fucking hate it. This one? Absolutely amazing.

气质太独特了，画面和氛围也是真是好到想骂人，还创造了或许是今年最好的恐怖片段。
伊甸园的禁果，生育的解构，男性视角的透析。极度的厌男，一绝的视效。但确实有些偏颇与生硬。

过于龌龊，最后的结局我真的万万没想到，有些台词也是深入骨髓了，比如：“男的这样很正常。”“男人打完女人道歉，不就是希望被原谅吗？”“男的都有欲望。”…… 反反复复，累了。最后来的朋友是个孕妇，也算是一种隐喻吧，同类型的《逃出绝命镇》，拍摄手法有点相似，可以一起看。

少见的能把psychoanalytical feminism视觉化的作品，从这点来说值得鼓励。但是与之相对应的是文本实在是太单薄了，以致于呈现上奇观性远大于思辨性，蛮可惜的。相比之下《soho区夜惊魂》的文本就丰富多了。

繁殖和塑造“男性”的其实是男性自己古老而野蛮的观念而不是性器;我们被拒绝入内所造成的伤害标记了我们的无可辩驳的同一性。隐喻的清澈和工整与诗意十足统一了，这种统一成为第一目标而使叙事似乎只发生在十五分钟以内。

不可描述的不适，有些电影你看过了，真希望自己从没看过。
我觉得Garland学Ari Aster学岔了，前半段有太多inconsistent的意象和空镜头。还好摄影优秀没被不明所以的剪辑给埋没。喜欢展现出来现代关系中的manipulation比暴力更让人反胃，相较而言某些只象征slut shaming的分身反而显得弱了。

用电影这种形式展示这世界真是无处不在虫南对女人的恶意，配乐和最后诡异的半个小时真是不错，同时除了那个小孩，仅用一个男演员来塑造小镇上所有的男性，正可谓天下乌鸦一般黑
