The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 就是我真的以为是讲重金属乐了，然而是讲他们怎么样追求自己在重金属乐队上的梦想，还是太海派青春了，不适应啊不适应。真还不如拍拍重金属乐如何组建，如何更替以及如何残酷。
我真的很爱看这种影片！可以说是从头到尾都看得很开心了。

虽然是基于真实事件，但剧情起码有一半是编的（不懂司法部女儿这个角色的存在是为啥，略煽情做作）

开始觉得普通和套路，到最后各色人等情绪是真的铺垫到位了。自由的代价真大。这场锡尔弗顿之围发生在1980年，而曼德拉释放已经是10年后的1990年了。
极其中规中矩的青春片，堪称标准手册，选角蛮可爱的。

金属乐现在成了怪胎、loser代名词，甚至破处都成了问题，真是河东河西，最大不足是结尾演出的音乐也没什么金属精神，和他讽刺的口水歌没什么分别。
没想到大提琴也可以玩重金属！大提琴手用电子大提琴出场的时候帅炸了！片中的大提琴曲目是巴赫大提琴无伴奏组曲的 suite 1, 还是很经典的。为了“过审”，乐队名字从 skullfucker 换成 skullflower 也是很有创意了。
