The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 黑白的摄影和灯光都很迷人，甚至比故事更让人聚焦。麦克多蒙德太抢戏了，似乎在整个戏之外。

当早期德国表现主义风格默片开始讲话，并且讲出的都是原装的莎士比亚台词。
若是沒看過第七封印的話，這片子是可以再加一星的
画面感非常漂亮，Denzel很棒。但看的过程中，我一再被提醒我有多想念不眠之夜，以及不眠之夜对麦克白故事线的改编有多出色。

三星半，在2021年的片子里看到这么表现主义的置景还挺惊喜的，构图及镜头调度也都是极简的阴森和神秘，舞台感十足的同时也不乏电影艺术。与之不太相称的是表演吧，特别是两位主演，撇开肤色和口音不谈，我个人感觉华盛顿和弗朗西斯肢体和台词都通俗感太强，特别是很多靠着两人独白起范儿的段落都觉得劲道不够。

没太看出来拍这版的价值是啥，影像当然好看，但并没在叙事上起到辅助作用，相比之下，《灯塔》的黑白摄影就有意义多了。
男二说话时看人的眼神好像我初恋。然后演技还有导演的技法都不是很娴熟感觉
将莎翁的剧本具象化是什么样子？大概就是这个样子吧。布景的氛围、转场的过渡、调度的形态都是戏剧式的，演员的演绎自不必说，但就还是影像式的呈现。是一部极简的电影，简到与核心思想一样凝练。
剧情性不强，先看了一个长篇MV。但是戳爷演的很好。
