The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 爱与恨，就在一念之间。和《瀑布》有一点点像，都有冲突，结尾有点戛然而止了。
影片将家庭之苦与生活之难表现得淋漓尽致，尤其是，本以为是这个家庭中的最为坚强的爸爸，在听到小女儿终于无恙时，在楼道无人处止不住的抽泣。原来，成年人的崩溃如雪崩，猝然之间，可以毁灭所有平静的场景。
即使当初不回来也不会比现在开心太多，得不到的永远最好，回不去的才是故乡。片中听到周杰伦，片尾听到陈绮贞，在2022看2003，是情景再现，也是正在经历。
无数的场景和对话的确真实，就是中国家庭普遍环境下的那种相爱相杀的对抗性关系，但是结尾有些漠然吧，电影打开了这扇门，但是核心内容却没有沉下去，有些浅尝则止的感觉。

感觉讲了好多，回过头看又什么也没讲。如果电影和生活一样，那谁还会想去看电影呀，过生活就好啦。
越长大越绝望
中国式家庭。没《瀑布》那样想得太多，却反而将情感表达得更加贴切。
并没有什么特别的地方，不知道为什么室内镜头都那么暗
自然主义表演和摄影的范本。
题材不错，执行不行。剧本和剪辑都存在很大问题，人物的情绪线断裂，节奏僵硬。有几场戏挺灵的，演技也不错，但拼不成一个整体。

可以说十分的细腻了，不煽情的情况下把家庭成员之间的情感关系描绘的这么有看头，有矛盾有对立，也是彼此相爱的
天下所有妈妈都值得respect！青春期的小女孩真是妈妈的“扎心”的小棉袄呢。
