johnny和Viv兄妹之间没有共同语言可以得到对方的了解和认可，两人在日常生活中也并没有特别多的交集，而jesse和Viv同属于一家人但又有不可调和的矛盾，johnny作为中间人调和了母子俩人的感情问题，既不需要文艺片的高雅也不需要剧情片的充实感，让彼此通过第三者了解了更多的彼此的秘密。

就非常温柔，看似不经意插入的纪录片取材片段的「无剧本感」很巧妙，当孩子们谈论他们的感受，关于未来，孤独，愤怒，以及他们眼中的世界
