The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. ⒉本片其实可以分为三个部分，第一部分就是拍摄“爱情电影”，同时也为诡异恐怖气氛进行铺垫，不过总体还是轻松，很赏心悦目，高潮部分则是虐杀，虽然很幽暗，可各种手段让人大开眼界，但最恐怖的是老头老妪那一段，效果俱佳；

剧情中的摄影为了艺术追求在黄片拍摄中愣是加入正常电影的技法，而本片的摄影也不遑多让，在恐怖桥段外，还拍出美式小清新画风。
