The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 伟大作家去世褪色，身体化作尘埃散去，但其完成和未完成的作品光鲜亮丽的延续下去，导演以此纪念去世的哥哥。
The first part in B/W could be seen as a journey to bid his brother a moving adieu by transporting the ashes of Pirandello, whose works have been adapted by the brothers, to his Sicilian homeland. Whereas the second part in color is quite confusing for us who have never read the story before. The shift from grey to color is poetic though
7.9 画面和配乐都很精美，只是这么简单个事真没必要拍这么长。
可能是对亚瑟王故事多少有点概念，所以对导演的各种隐喻和杂糅不反感，但是我也保不定如果是个其他故事我会不会还觉得这是个有趣的电影。镜头很漂亮。
以未完成的作品作赋，以黑白的历史影像成诗，以蒙太奇的记忆进行纪念。告别在过往战争中的遭遇，告别在迷途里依然真挚的兄弟情谊。
“你已经抵达了旅途的终点，可能比你预想的要快一些，但每个人又何尝不是如此。”
老外的构思已经枯竭了？拍的这个是什么？一个印度人继承了亚瑟王？是在搞笑吗？是英国籍男演员，还是新锐演员，怎么不找个黑人演？全电影没有带入感，剧情也糊里糊涂.......这电影怎么过审的？
挺好看，但是总觉得情感上还是缺点什么，不够饱满
诚然影片中段我也想把导演吊起来陀螺般抽打，但此片的前40分钟和结尾，通篇神话寓言的呈现，非常接近我心目中理想的电影……意象、背景、配乐、光影、调度、表演、布景。未经准备的少年在懵懂中踏上试炼之旅。高文的黄粱一梦，剪接中光阴如白驹过隙。

洛维作为新生代文艺片导演，显示了他对于影像的把控能力。本片也值得写入今年影史的作品。
实在是有点故弄玄虚，意象堆叠过剩。也算看了一种新风格，但不是我喜欢的。我还是坚持电影体裁，讲好故事是最重要的内核。anyway全篇说教角度学到的是：直面当下的挑战，不然未来也是回旋镖，且会持续阵痛。
和洪常秀一样，都是今年柏林电影节上极度私人化的影像，也同样是极简的黑白摄影再过渡到彩色影像。不同的是，洪只是用了一小段告白来满足影迷，保罗却把已故兄长的遗作搬上银幕，不仅仅寄托怀念，更是以钉子为引，形成纪念影像——“钉子”——历史画面——观众所在的现实—的多重互文。
不过 黑白渐渐彩色很喜欢
都是名角，相比于晦涩的故事，这部电影的视听倒是实打实的好～
