The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 人要是失去根基就注定四处漂泊，狂欢也不过是一群人的孤单，在路上自言自语才是常态。电影本身并没有刻意讲好一个故事，大概主要是带观众融入一种心情。 从《奥丽芙·基特里奇》到《三块广告牌》再到这部，女主一直在演苦瓜脸大婶。
像自己的未来，也会是很多人的未来，迷茫孤独但却自由富足
骨子里向往自由的人，并经历了所谓“稳定”的幻灭，彻底而决绝地再次投身自由。孤独只是个必要的装饰品，所有的感情也都自然无法长久，只有“在路上”是永恒的。所以，“路上见”。
美利坚的假大空电影，这种类型片在日影里看过不少，《无依之地》真的找不到亮点。

两小时的情绪
Home. Is it just a word, or is it something you carry within you? 漂泊不是无家可归，而是带着家上路。期待很高，但看完略有些失望。电影通片“情绪流”，缺少真正有力量的文本支撑；视听方面给我的感觉是中规中矩，钢琴配乐不贴剧情且在很多时候都显得多余（正面例子是断背山的吉他配乐）。相似题材更喜欢另一位女导演Debra Granik的那部《不留痕迹》。

D- / 好久没看到过这么无趣的公路片了，摸不透素材选取的思路，采用线性叙事又放弃叙事逻辑而改用场景拼贴，剪辑叙事和摄像各行其道，而影像又空洞而缺乏表现力，因此填充的配乐甚是露怯，和马力克比也差太远。
有几个配乐有点跳，和风格不是很合，唏嘘
对话写得太好了，几个配角的对白都令人落泪。个体叙事高于一切。

平淡却不平庸，简约却不简单，大象无形，减法的处理刚刚好。摈弃猎奇和冲突，却深切感受到导演走进并了解了这个游牧民群体。围绕着女主对爱人和生活方式的执念，最后跟游牧民领头人的一番掏心交流，给本片的主旨做了一个回甘诠释。
赵婷身兼数职的确保证了个人表达的一致性，但也因此而失去了更好的可能，至少在剪辑方面是有一些可以改善的地方的。
