The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 比那部刺杀小说家更能体现国产电影粗制滥造胡编乱造侮辱观众智商等特点。
想来小说可能会更精彩吧~
很多特效就像耍小聪明，毫无意义，完全可以靠快速剪辑达到更好的效果，但是要花心思和时间去打磨这几组快切镜头。特效就不一样了，花点钱外包就行，省时间和精力。目前这种有钱就能搞定的暴发户思想，短期在大陆影视行业很难根除
行活。人物基本工具人，马伯庸原著加大师兄那么多个编剧没写好一个人物。特效不错。古董部分也挺抓人。敌我双方对抗不好看因为主角一直将成果拱手让人。编剧那么多到底做了啥嘛。
3.5星，剧情通过解谜模式层层推进，又有搞笑片段加持，使观影效果还是不错的。可惜，导演在部分剧情上还是没有做减法，例如付贵这个人物去世时的ost等等。
不过，这里面最喜欢阿如那和辛芷蕾的表演。

相对于电视和小说，改的地方不少，对于相对时间较短的电影来说这么改的却增加了不少戏剧冲突，但有些地方改的就有些莫名其妙了，比如说葛优这个角色，哪怕是看过电视剧和小说的，都很难理解他在电影里那些行为的动机，更别说只看过电影的那些人了。
拍的真的很差，不是对比电视剧版，是叙事太快，人物别说塑造了，都不知道他干什么的，就是打起来了好上了，这类型比较好的是国家宝藏。还有次元大介怎么都来客串了呢

娱乐性挺足的，但总觉得背景人物和情感铺垫不明不白？李现从头到尾脸上写着“我是反派”，咏梅这片和《风去洛阳》都是演大佬，气场全开。
剧情发展就是解开一个答案火速前往下一答案的“解密综艺”。其间的逻辑漏洞和人物动机漏洞多如蜂窝，基本上全都立不住。
如果说扬名立万是剧本杀，那么古董局中局就是密室逃脱。从许爸生前住所开始，墙壁内古董排列的摩斯密码FUGUI，馗市沈爷拍品阴阳子母镜，郑家村后山张僧繇的画，济公庙的观音像，地下室的假佛头，以及逃生通道。
乱七八糟，莫名其妙。导演的手法和和风格很是问题……
局的内核还是不错的，有点中国乡村土味版“国家宝藏”的意思！
挥之不去的一种“要古不现”感，时代设定和呈现出来的出入过大，毫无代入感。说它像寻宝综艺，但现在的寻宝综艺也比它做得更像那个意思吧？
至于其他，无功无过，懒得评价。
