The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 英国人贱兮兮的幽默感，和一些奇怪但温暖的感情
让人十分不舒服的幽默
非常好的科幻喜剧啊，强烈推荐。热烈地讽刺了人工智能、安保系统、无人驾驶、克隆动物、仿真性偶等等，看得开心，又有警示意义。法国式幽默，机器人自我学习能力超强，人类缺乏学习只图享受，机器智能系统掌握了法律，人类的未来岌岌可危，不是吗。
机器人反抗人类，又有要保护人类，这个也只有用巨型漏洞来自圆其说了。
挺喜欢整片的颜色质感，也实在挺喜欢脸叔。但真的觉得感情戏占比太大，挺破坏感觉的。然后所有人都好戏剧化，表演台词都是，算是这部剧的特点，不是特别喜欢这种表达。
封控在上海的第47天看，太讽刺了，魔幻......
一起构思这个军官故事的画面让我觉得中二又感动，男女感情线真不如老哥俩的友情动人。
复古的科幻设定，夸张的演绎方式，最大的亮点在于影片的色彩运用。

高饱和度的黑色幽默，就是太冗长了，再精简些好点
法国喜剧一不小心就很尬，再加上未来科幻的故事设定，咋咋呼呼闹闹哄哄装傻充愣……曾经的热内哪儿去了？是不是果真多年不拍抑或拍的少，各种认知已经拖尾？故事其实是有意思的，谈不上多有创意，但翻转够多，人物和智能机器人的关系也有暗黑趣味。但整部影片的审美却相当网大，美术和摄影尬爆，多亏几个机器人撑场面。都是大色块的饱和色，阿尔莫多瓦明艳高级，Bigbug却满满都是廉价感，再不见爱米丽的灵动。人物比较概念，而演员又缺乏魅力，也使观影感受很疲惫。整体创作到制作看起来拍摄期也就20天，后期可能相对长一点，镜头的不讲究也是网大式，复合类型片，每种情境还是要做足吧，而不是交代基本叙事就完成任务。尤其结尾，可以调节智商等级的爱因斯坦会不会再度倒戈，完全可以把悬念再推上去一翻儿，可惜喷了句人类批判冷笑话就完结了。
毫无必要的感情戏，原本可以90分钟紧凑搞定。
别被卡司骗了，这属于没必要浪费时间去看的那种电影，不知道这个著名行动的没必要选它来了解，知道的更没必要看，因为加了很多匪夷所思的细节，比如和谍战无关并表现得很低端的禁断之爱……
机器人片，有点黑镜那味，但是远不如黑镜前几季
3.5吧，这类一开始就能知道结尾的电影，需要更好的气氛烘托才能成功
科幻小品，有几个地方还挺好笑的。类似的题材已经屡见不鲜，让-皮埃尔·热内也没能拍出什么新意。

二战谍战剧为什么跟国内抗日神剧一样搞个占比大的感情戏，让整个剧本末倒置，一点都没有二战关键战役前的紧张感，压迫感。
