The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 社会习惯了歌颂母亲的伟大，这无疑是给所有的母亲又加上一道枷锁，仿佛母亲自然地就该无私地爱与包容孩子。导演用独特的视角审视社会赋予的这道枷锁，描述了一个挣扎过、抛弃过孩子的母亲的故事，告诉观众所谓“伟大的母爱”也许不是理所应当的。时间线前后穿插，两个“不称职”的母亲因为同样的挣扎而产生了莫名的连结。结尾略仓促，玩偶的隐线埋了很久却感觉结尾时没用对。

好看！好久没看过这么爽的虐杀片了。心疼老爷子一秒钟。
