The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很古早味的气质，施拉德老爷子一贯喜欢讲的故事
主角和男孩相互救赎的主线引出战争对人的迫害。立意很好，拍得不咋地，四不像。

《海边的曼彻斯特》姊妹篇。Tell是一尊中空的雕像，被剥夺了一切行为的原动力，所有向好的苗头甫一出生便被掐死，永远活在过去的罪愆和痛感中，余下的人生于他只是pass the time，极度伤感，又无可奈何。
施拉德这次又继续了他的救赎主题，而且还是能把人物情感细节的拿捏的如此精准
有當年看落日車神的觸動感，真男人的感覺。這部電影的影像語言讓我感覺他就是一部電影，影像克制但必要時直入心靈，編導演皆好，原本台灣的宣傳弄得像一部B級娛樂片似的，好險剛好趕上全台灣最後一場放映，幸福。
开头得眼神设计。回忆得拍摄效果。私人化得情感但看不明白的赌博

有几个镜头从奥斯卡的侧脸几乎看到了德尼罗😂意料外非常色气的角色。跟玩牌关系不大
活在地狱，自动形成两种人：施暴者，被虐者。从地狱爬出来，名利算什么？一切扭曲的人性，为了自我保护，都会心理矫饰，或心安理得，因为自己不过是组织的工具而已。或麻木，或内疚，或暴力，或自我惩罚～～去爱，是一种解药。或许，所有我们想要的，都在反面。
一个比较好的题材被导演和编剧毁得只剩形式不见高潮与转折 旧时的伤痛没说好 打扑克也没讲到点子上 两相不连贯 结果平淡得有如催眠
从头喊到尾的usa，最后监狱成为归宿，一边反思一边讽刺，像是没有力气了。
这电影的配乐看似和算牌不搭，却又带来一种恰到好处的美与伤感
