The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 俗套的叙事模式。但因为以新冠疫情为时代背景，又指涉了人工智能、大数据监控等时代因素，加之独立电影般的简单的制作方式和语言风格，才使它略微值得一看。
短短89分钟的电影铺垫太长就算是有必要，追逐一点点小紧张，反杀蛮爽只有一会儿，就一定要用复古的配乐致敬希区柯克吗？
