The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 模仿《恐怖游轮》《彗星来的那一夜》的痕迹很严重。主旨就是:一切就是一场梦，循环往复想不通，为了儿子杀自己，曾经往事化成风。
全片基本没啥特效。科幻剧情全靠概念讲述。只有三四个演员。但整体呈现效果还是不错的。脑洞大开。剧情节奏把控很好。有反转也有思考。
