The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 可能因为期待过高吧 但除了agent的那段话有被感动到其它的感觉就只是还好 故事线略微混乱了 歌舞也不算很突出

文艺青年的艺术梦是最新的美国梦，一段接一段毫无休止的尬唱，歌词本身也实在不敢恭维，为什么我们这个年代的传记片总是喜欢把这些平庸之辈捧上神坛？
看的时候还在说很像《吉屋出租》+《Smash》，原来男主的原型是《吉屋出租》的作者。几乎每一首歌都很棒(这个大大加分)，影视化上做得中规中矩，是不是音乐剧的表现形式差不多就都是这些了，提线木偶和天台唱歌内两首真的感觉似曾相识。期待更多一些创意(内种生命力的感jio~)。
给纽约theatre and theatre junkies的一封情书。central park delacorte theatre, ny theatre workshop，playwrights horizons...全都是戏剧生活里忘不掉的回忆。正值Sondheim老爷子忌日，theatre legends们出来唱Sunday一段，看得直掉眼泪-对我来说，全剧唯一精华。之前workshop出现的作曲家和作家，也都是真实的theatre创作者们。对Jon本人的剧没什么感觉（音乐实在不感冒），这一部TTB也稍显幼稚粗浅。可是贵在真情。Andrew演的Angels in America可作为90年代AIDS事件的补充拓展，那剧是真有深度和灵魂。。
艺术创作等于燃烧生命，mediocre没有火。

在分手期间看这样的片子真的爆哭 只是这位贵人在《使女的故事》中饰演一个反派让我频频出戏🤣 希望大家都可以get through break up
其实像是这种传记片看完之后我的第一反应都会是有一些无聊，因为当你不了解人物原型还要当故事片看的时候就会显得非常容易乏味，尤其是作为一部音乐电影其实歌曲也就那样，不得不说略有一些失望

歌和剧情不是特别搭 有出戏 90年代和LGBT又是点到为止 甚至没有特别好听的歌 一般！

优点都是在有效拓展电影边界的部分：这不是一部音乐剧官摄，也不是一部真正意义上的歌舞片，而是一部元-音乐剧-电影，将唱段视觉化就是一个很好地体现电影尤其是歌舞片作为造梦机器的例子，并且“造梦机器”也能很好地与主题结合。但在电影层面是失败的，本片在今天对HIV、LGBT群体话题的讨论…Larson在25年前自己就写出来了《吉屋出租》。最后，既然是改编，如果改成加菲像《阮玲玉》里的张曼玉那样演Larson，那就是真牛逼。
