The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 爱情，爱情，该死的爱情。
-一本书很感人？那就说它故作感伤；
一百年前的故事和今天没有多少差别，富人的虚伪和底层对名利的穷追不舍也是一模一样
泛滥的旁白损害了整部片子的气质，导演明显缺乏用影像叙事的能力。巴尔扎克的原著应该更厉害，把整个泡沫社会以及其中异化的人尽数尸解。

3.5，全程多兰口述旁白，这样一个野心勃勃、盛极转衰的年轻人故事已经被描绘得太多，但这一部插入了文学的视角。同样的文学情怀，在平民是遥不可及的梦想，在贵族却不过是生活的锦上添花。
人类需要思考，大清都亡了百年，为啥还是会跪舔！因为大多数人仍然向往那些不劳而获的权利！
恺撒奖难道是看在巴尔扎克的面子上哪？虽然变小了巴黎的浮华虚伪勾心斗角，但是故事本身虽然抽离了吕西安的主线然而还是缺乏小说的故事魅力。旁白音也太多了

关于Lucien的两个情人，如果Louise和Lucien是少年时纯粹的爱情，Coralie和Lucien之间虽然在我看来更加纯粹，但起初Coralie更像是初到巴黎漂泊，又被Louise伤害的Lucien为自己找到的港湾。
真正的幻灭不是一无所有，而是学会了活得光鲜哟。回看现在，和书里的可是毫无区别呀。全剧最爱伯爵夫人，活得精致又清醒
也没爽到什么，开始大舅哥被爆了头，大家枪法集体失准。
但还是值得一看
好看！虽然导演用了太多旁白有偷懒之嫌，但巴尔扎克的作品改编成电影可太优秀了！男演员也很厉害！
贵族文化盛行的时代，乡下的穷小子即使有着出色的才华，被巴黎的大染缸污染后还幻想能够左右逢缘恢复母亲的姓名登上贵族的平台，结果被人出卖失去了一切，最后回到了开始的地方。电影把巴黎社会各色各样的人进行了描绘，历史感很浓厚，虽然时间长了点，但静下心来还是能沉浸其中。
其实多兰演得不错，没有拿凯撒奖最佳男配很可惜。女配演男主老婆的有点弱。
